About the Stuart and Suzanne Grant Comprehensive Excellence Society

A group of visionary donors led by Suzanne and Stuart Grant in 2015 made a major investment in the success of Hillel at the University of Delaware. Their support enabled the organization to grow and create the Stuart and Suzanne Grant Comprehensive Excellence Society.

University of Delaware Hillel

A Program of Excellence Designed to Inspire

In partnership with Hillel International the program is designed to help inspire students within the Hillel movement who are committed to the Jewish lifestyle and learning, to a higher level of excellence.  At the University of Delaware, Jewish students have access to a wide range of impactful programs, Jewish immersive travel experiences, and leadership exercises.  It is through participation in these experiences that Jewish students at the University of Delaware are motivated to become the next generation of Jewish leaders, and to make a commitment to Jewish life and learning.

At the University of Delaware, 13% of all undergraduate students are Jewish, and UD Hillel strives to help these students to foster meaningful connections to their culture and experiences to help them on their academic journey.  Some of the events and programs that UD Hillel provides for students include an annual trip to Israel for 120 students, a free Shabbat meal every Friday night with the option of student-led services, and Freshmen Fest which provides Jewish students with access to the UD campus early for a special orientation-style program.
